I have been inspired to see how far I can go local and natural. Yesterday I signed up for a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) to receive a half bushel of locally grown veggies and fruits every other week. The cost is minimal and cheaper than buying produce at your local supermarket. In addition, it supports your local farmers and your local economy. For those of us that work you can pay a few dollars more to have your bushel delivered to your door. And for those that would like the experience of visiting your local farmer's market you can opt to save a few extra dollars and pick up your bushel.

In the meantime, I will be trying to grow some of my own veggies to try and gain a better understanding of the growing and farming process. Today I planted: carrots, spinach, watermelon, cantaloupe, onions, and pumpkin.
I will keep you posted!
